Sage Patanjali, in his thesis, “Yoga Darshana”, defined Yoga as ‘Chitta Vritti Nirodha’ – a method to silence the vibrations of the Conscience (which includes the Mind, Intellect and Ego).  The ‘Ashtanga’ or 8 aspects of Yoga are :

• Yama and Niyama – ‘Yama’, means ‘taking a vow’ while ‘Niyama’ means ‘rule of conduct’

• Asanas – meaning ‘Posture’

• Pranayama – meaning ‘regulation of breath’

• Pratyahara – meaning ‘withdrawal of the senses’

• Dharana – meaning ‘holding steady’ or ‘concentration’

• Dhyana – meaning ‘meditation’

• Samadhi – meaning ‘union with The Divine through intense meditation’

Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar, with his Intellect, Spirituality, "Research based Experience" and "Experience based Research", brought about evolution in these techniques, making it possible for everyone to experience the wisdom of Yoga through his specially designed props and tools. This came to be known as the world renowned, "Iyengar Yoga".

Iyengar Yoga is meant for all and is a way of life. Through wooden gadgets, belts and ropes, it has helped the practitioners world over, to achieve perfection in any asana. Regular practice of 'Iyengar Yoga' integrates the Body, Mind and Emotions. These result in overall benefits such as:

• Increased flexibility.

• Increased muscle strength and tone.

• Improved respiration, energy and vitality.

• Maintaining a balanced metabolism.

• Weight reduction.

• Cardio and circulatory health.

• Improved athletic performance.

• Protection from injury

Ayurveda literally means ‘Science of Life’ (Ayu = Life ; Veda = Science). It is an ancient form of scientific treatment developed in India which uses diet, herbal treatment and yogic breathing to regain and maintain the balance between the various systems in our body.

Panchakarma is the perfect way to naturally heal, revitalise and balance out our physiology. The traditional Ayurvedic way of inner purification, it activates the self-healing abilities of the body.

Panchakarma, meaning "five actions", stands for the five Ayurvedic ways of intensive inner purification, detoxification and cleansing done in a logical order. Throughout the duration of the treatment, conditions to be maintained are sufficient sleep, light diet, intake of several litres of warm beverages daily, no stress, and a calm, restful environment. This increases metabolism, reduces fat levels, weight, strain on the heart and circulatory system and increases stress resistance.

Scientific Massage Techniques include 8 Types of Movements and Directions, Reflexology, Acupressure and Relaxology. When done in the right environment, with the perfect concoction of medicated oils, using the right technique, Body Massage activates the Circulatory, Endocrine, Lymphatic and Nervous Systems. This revitalizes the body, promotes sleep, releases stress and fatigue and retards ageing.

A) Face Massage

Natural nutrient-infused oils and creams are used to gently massage the facial tissues and skin. Based on the specific needs of each individual treatments for anti-ageing, deep cleansing, skin hydration, skin glow etc. are available.

B) Head Massage

This is a traditional treatment, highly effective for mental stress release, headaches, hair nourishment and scalp health. Infused oils are massaged into the scalp while pressing important pressure points for an extremely relaxing and refreshing experience.

Thus it is highly effective in the treatment of Osteoarthritis, Myalgia, GB Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis and many more diseases.

Reflexology is an alternative medicine therapy in which pressure is applied on specific areas of the feet, hands or ears. It is based on the premise that these points correspond to different body organs and systems and pressing them is believed to positively affect the corresponding organ. (For example, applying pressure to a spot on the arch of the foot is believed to benefit bladder function.) This is useful in the treatments of anxiety, diabetes, kidney function, asthma etc.

Packs make the skin smoother, regulate body temperature, relax the muscles and joints and relieve inflammation and pain.

A) Mud Packs

The dark colour of Mud absorbs sunlight into the body while the moisture keeps the body cool. This relaxes muscles, reduces inflammations and relieves pain. Its minerals replenish and sooth the skin. Thus, this is useful in the treatment of Arthritis and Skin Diseases.

B) Wet Sheet Pack

The whole body is wrapped in a wet sheet, which in turn is wrapped in a dry blanket for regulating evaporation. This pack is useful in cases of fever especially in typhoid and continued fevers, and benefits those suffering from insomnia, epilepsy and infantile convulsions. It is useful in relieving chronic cold and bronchitis and helps in the treatment of rheumatism and obesity.

B1) Cold Compress

Cold packs regulate body temperature, slow down blood circulation thereby relieving inflammation, swelling and pain.

B2) Heat Compress

Heat Packs help to relax body muscles and relieve pain. Heat dilates the blood vessels thereby increasing flow of oxygen and nutrients to the muscle/ body part being treated.

Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique in which practitioners use their hands, elbows, or feet to apply pressure to specific points along the body’s “meridians.” The premise is that illness can occur when one of these meridians are blocked or out of balance; acupressure is thought to relieve blockages so energy can flow freely again, restoring wellness. Furthermore, Acupressure can decrease nausea for chemotherapy patients and reduce anxiety in people scheduled to have surgery.

Acupuncture is an alternative medicine technique in which disposable needles are used by a practitioner to penetrating the skin at various pressure points throughout the body. This releases body pain especially in the neck and back regions.

EECP (Enhanced External Counter Pulsation) is a non-invasive treatment for Angina (chest pain caused by coronary heart diseases). During the treatment, the patient lies on a comfortable treatment table with large blood pressure-like cuffs wrapped around the thighs, calves and buttocks. A continuous ECG (Electro Cardiogram) is used to set a rhythm of inflation and deflation for the cuffs, such that they inflate while the heart is at rest and deflate at the end of the rest period, just before the next heartbeat. The special sensor applied to the finger checks the oxygen level in the blood and monitors the pressure waves created by the cuffs.

Approximately 80% of patients who complete the 35-hour course of EECP® Therapy experience significant symptom relief that may last up to three years.
